Margarita is the proud co-founder of Hanzon Fitness and Massage. She has grown up in Chatswood and the Lower North Shore and is an active member of the North Shore and Northern Beaches communities.
She has been involved with the NSW State Netball team, Northern Beaches Canoe Outrigging team, North Shore squash team, and various Triathlon events for more than 15 years.
Margarita has a special interest in sports injury prevention, pain management and increasing a patient’s range of movement.
She has worked as a Massage Practitioner and personal trainer. She has also set up and managed Coles Myer Gymnasium and lectured in various universities and TAFE colleges, using her knowledge of fitness and sports programs, nutrition, physical education, as well as Corporate and Sports Massage
Margarita has dealt with numerous musculoskeletal conditions by first assessing the condition and then treating the associated areas that are the causes of the problem. She also has an interest in the treatment of back, knee and shoulder pain, headaches, frozen shoulder, tennis and golfers’ elbow, sciatica and nerve pain, and various immobility conditions.
Margarita has a holistic approach to patient care, with the aim to improve the health and lifestyle of her patients combined with advice and education on exercise, nutrition and stress management.
After two years of Study in Remedial Sports Massage and four years of study in Physical Education and Sports Science, Margarita graduated from University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Physical Education and then in 2006 graduated with a Diploma of Remedial Sports Massage.
Like all professionals, Margarita’s education is ongoing with, for example, recent studies in the Onsen technique – a technique based on musculo skeletal strategies to assess and treat injuries to reduce recovery times, while improving the integrity of muscle function.
She regularly attends healthcare seminars to increase her expertise and knowledge, so that she pass on the benefits to her patients by utilising the latest scientific research and most effective techniques in the management of musculoskeletal injuries and maintenance of optimal health.
